Attendance and In-class participation
Attending class is essential to your learning. We recognize that emergencies sometimes occur. When they do, please notify us as soon as possible before class. Instructors will assess student participation holistically and if there is a need for discussion, we will contact them. We will also post a participation grade by midterm.

Class presentation
You will provide a presentation in ASL on basic English to ASL translation (Jakobson on three types of translation, intralingual translation, interlingual translation and intersemiotic translation)

GoReact Translation Part 1 English to ASL version and sign mapping
Throughout the semester, you will be required to complete translation exercises, maps, paraphrasing work, and other activities. Instructors will provide an explanation for each task in advance. Read documents and watch videos, translate English to LSA, and record your work in GoReact.

Assignment #6
Knovio Project
Using Knovio/Kultra, students will create a 7 to a 10 minute video to discuss their interpretation/ reflections/learning about the impact one of the projects covered in the course. See Blackboard/Go React for Description and Rubric.
